Heather Baxa is running for Mayor to bring accountability, transparency, and disciplined leadership back to Shoreacres.
As a Shoreacres resident and business professional with over a decade of experience in operations and technology leadership, Heather has built her career on improving broken systems, strengthening financial oversight, and delivering measurable results. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and works in the SaaS industry, where she manages complex accounts, analyzes performance metrics, and drives strategic planning initiatives.
Heather believes city government should operate with the same standards as successful organizations:
Clear financial reporting.
Responsible budgeting.
Long-term planning.
And leadership that answers to the people.
Shoreacres is facing serious decisions about its future. Heather believes those decisions must be guided by facts, transparency, and a commitment to reform, not fear, pressure, or rushed outcomes.
She is not running to maintain the status quo. She is running to fix what isn’t working.
Her priorities include:
Implementing full financial transparency and up-to-date audits
Creating a clear infrastructure improvement plan
Strengthening fiscal discipline and reducing waste
Protecting Shoreacres’ independence and local representation
Ensuring residents have access to accurate, complete information before major decisions are made
Heather believes Shoreacres does not need to surrender its identity to solve its challenges. With responsible leadership and modern solutions, the city can stabilize, improve, and move forward.
This campaign is about reform, accountability, and protecting the voice of our community.
Shoreacres deserves leadership that is proactive, not reactive!
And Heather is ready to lead.
I strongly endorse David Gerany for Alderman of Shoreacres
